CREAMED CORN

This creamed corn that Friend Nancy prepared and brought to our Northland New Neighbors League Dinner Club gathering last Saturday night was so delicious. It was hard not going back for seconds. The recipe produced a generous amount suitable for your next family reunion. (There were 12 of us and we had plenty left, but we did have other dishes to eat also.) Because of that, I am sharing her recipe along with my recipe for a smaller version.

CREAMED CORN

2       bags (24 - oz each) frozen corn (Nancy got one bag of yellow corn and one bag of white corn)
1        pkg (8 - oz) cream cheese, cut in cubes (non-fat is okay)
2       tablespoons water

Combine frozen corn in slow cooker.  Cut the cream cheese into cubes and add to corn along with water.

Cook on high for 45 minutes.

Stir mixture.

Reduce heat to low and cook for 3 hours stirring mixture every hour.

Pour into serving bowl and serve warm. Serves plenty.

CREAMED CORN  for 4

1       16 - oz bag frozen corn
3       oz. cream cheese, cut into cubes (non-fat is okay)
1       tablespoons water

Add all ingredients in slow cooker.  Cook on high for 45 minutes. Stir. Continue to cook on low for 3 hours, stirring every hour.

Pour into serving bowl and serve warm.

  1. This sounds delicious! I love creamed corn but have always had to cut it off the cob. This way looks so much easier and a lot less mess too!
    Thank you for posting it!

    1. You are right there Sandra. And it is so easy. But the absolute best thing is the taste.
