TURKEY PINWHEELS

I was able to enjoy these Turkey Pinwheels because they were onion-free and peppers-free. I ate two of them since I passed on the Pizza Pinwheels. (too many onions and peppers in them) They looked really delicious, but....

Anyway, these Turkey Pinwheels were definitely a winner.

TURKEY PINWHEELS

8        oz. cream cheese softened, (fat free will work)
1         tablespoon dry ranch or Italian dressing mix
1         cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 to 2 tablespoons milk
1         (3 - ounce) package bacon bits
1/2     lb. thinly sliced deli turkey
4        large burrito tortillas (any flavor - Marilyn used spinach herb flavor)

Mix softened cream cheese with the dry dressing mix, cheddar cheese, and bacon bits until well combined.

Spread about 2 tablespoons of mixture evenly on each tortilla then lay 3 - 4 slices of turkey breast flat on top of the cheese mixture to cover in a single layer.

Roll the tortilla up gently, yet tightly to make sure it holds together and keeps it shape.

Insert a toothpick to hold together.

Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to firm up the softened cheese. (Marilyn made hers the day before). Cut off ends of tortilla roll and cut into 1 - inch slices.
